⁸ Suddenly, when they looked around, they saw no one with them anymore, but only Jesus.

Elijah Has Already Come.^{[a] 9} As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus ordered them to tell no one what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. ¹⁰ Therefore, they kept the matter to themselves, although they did argue about what rising from the dead could possibly mean.
